Developing

Which branch do I make changes on?

:warning: Since this will be deprecated with Rancher 2.9.0, only bugfixes and security issues should be made.

UI Plugin Operator is built and released off the contents of the main branch. To make a contribution, open up a PR to the main branch.

Building

go build -o bin/ui-plugin-operator

Running

./bin/ui-plugin-operator

Running Unit Tests

go test ./...

Linting

golangci-lint run ./...

Releasing

Simply tag a commit with the version you want to release, and push that tag upstream. The automation will take care of the rest: binaries will be published in a github release, and docker images will be pushed to docker hub.
